The Personal Side of ScienceBook Club is an opportunity for students to learn about what it's like for kids with a medical condition. Each month, a panel, consisting of Dr. Robin, a children's librarian, and a K-8 educator, chooses one middle grade novel or graphic novel in which the main character has a medical condition. Once a month, Dr. Robin hosts a live online session in which she discusses the book and teaches about the medical condition experienced by the main character. Your child can read any one of them...or all of them. At book club, Dr. Robin will discuss neurology, with a special emphasis on understanding epilepsy.
