The Personal Side of Science

Book Club is an opportunity for students to learn about what it's like for kids with a medical condition. Each month, a panel, consisting of Dr. Robin, a children's librarian, and a K-8 educator, chooses one middle grade novel or graphic novel in which the main character has a medical condition. Once a month, Dr. Robin hosts a live online session in which she discusses the book and teaches about the medical condition experienced by the main character.

This month is just a little different

Three books were selected for January. Each is about a neurological condition that can impact youth: epilepsy, ADHD, and OCD. Your child can read any one of them...or all of them.

At book club, Dr. Robin will discuss neurology, with a special emphasis on understanding epilepsy.

Register now!

Book Club is

Tuesday, January 28th

At 11 AM MST
